Half a million!?

You guys! Thanks to *YOU* and I mean, each and every member of Team Canterwood, there are half a million Canterwood Crest books in print. Talk about insane! What great news for a stressful week.

We’re getting ready to leave for Mayo #3 on Saturday. Thank you all for chiming in on the Facebook page and saying you’ll take 10 seconds out of you day to send good thoughts to Kate during her surgery next Tuesday. We love you all.

I think I’m going to take a break from work and watch GOSSIP GIRL: season one with Kate. We’re starting at episode one. We both stopped watching after two or three seasons, but I loved the first.

Hugs!

Hello, three day weekend!

I’m soo excited that it’s a three day weekend after tomorrow! Well, weekends or weekdays really don’t make much different to me as a writer, but it does mean no business related e-mails, stopping for publicity, etc., so I’ll be kicking off a Three Day Write-a-Thon on Saturday morning!

Want to join me?

If you do, cool! Leave a comment here that you’re going to be writing/editing/outlining, etc., and what you’re working on if you like. Throughout the weekend and Monday, check in here to cheer each other on and report your progress. I’ll be doing word count updates via Twitter. 🙂 I love writing with other people. It, um, keeps me from getting distracted. Plus, it’s embarrassing if I report back with a sad word count.

So, join me via Twitter, Facebook, my blog and let’s WRITE!

I’m going to be outlining POPULAR and writing it, too. That’s my project. I want to get as far as possible into it.

busy!

So, the Canterwood cover photo shoot was last Monday! I got pics via text and I think these new covers are going to be AWESOME! I’m so excited to see them.

A few days ago, I finished INITIATION and am waiting for copy edits. Yay for another book down! I’m really in writing mode and want to start POPULAR this weekend. POPULAR is going to be crazy! 🙂
When does everyone go back to school?

A Stable of Books

Coming on July 26, Aladdin is releasing a “Stable of Canterwood Crest Books” (isn’t that name supercute?!) of Take the Reins, Chasing Blue, Behind the Bit and Triple Fault as a set of e-books at a great price. Here’s a link to pre-order it via Kindle. I’m sure the link will be available soon for the Nook if it isn’t already.

I can’t wait for this to come out! I never dreamed I’d have a set of books. Ever.

Thank you so much to Team Canterwood for supporting me, Editor K and the series. It’s because of YOU that this is happening. Since it’s a virtual release, I’m sure I’ll come up with something fun to celebrate with you all . . . 🙂

Signed Canterwood books at Rochester, MN Barnes & Noble

Recently, I spent 3 weeks in the lovely Rochester, Minnesota. I went for sad reasons though, as my best friend was visiting the Mayo Clinic. (Post about that to come. But we are home and cannot thank you enough for your support.)

There was a Barnes & Noble about 5 minutes from our hotel, so I went the day before we left and signed stock on the shelves. There *were* 34 books, but a very sweet girl named Camdyn took a copy of CHOSEN and several of you have emailed to say you’ve already put copies on hold.

I signed them in pretty pink! 🙂 Everyone there was so nice and it was the COOLEST B&N I’ve ever visited. Next time, I’ll sign stock at the Apache Mall’s B&N.

If you’re close to Rochester and want any signed books here’s the store’s information:

Barnes & Noble
Chateau Theater
15 First Street SW
Rochester, MN 55902
507-288-3848

And here are some pics I took! 🙂

Yeah, I took a pic of myself signing. :p

The inside is like a CASTLE!

The escalator to the castle.

The pretty green before the store.

The entrance to the adult fiction.

34 books that need my signature.

I signed them at this cute table under a dragon!

Before I took them off the shelf . . .

All signed with a sparkly Gelly Roll pen.

Thank you to the staff at B&N for being so kind. I will definitely be back! Hopefully, under better circumstances. 🙂

If you get a signed copy, let me know.

xoxo

Some celebratory shopping

I got some exciting news yesterday! It led to the purchase of the suuuperfun hoodie and the tank below from the place where, um, most of my paycheck goes–VS’s PINK line.

The news? Take the Reins earned out its advance! Yay! It wouldn’t have happened without *you,* the readers, and my ridiculously talented editor, Kate Angelella.

We decided some celebratory online shopping was in order, so I snagged that doodle zip hoodie and the pretty tank. I love that mix of blue and gray! Plus, I’m always cold, so I can’t get enough hoodies.

Again, I’m so grateful that Take the Reins is doing so well and in it’s . . . 6th (?–I should check that . . .) printing. I’ll be working as I start to feel better on Initiation this weekend and I’m counting down the days until Chosen releases in May. I’ve got a lot of fun giveaways during release week! 🙂

Anyone else a PINK fanatic? What’s your go-to store when you want to celebrate with clothes, accessories–whatever?
