No NaNoWriMo for me

So, with the big change in my schedule, November will NOT (sniff) be NaNoWriMo for me. Instead, it’ll be NaNoEdMo.

Since I finished the first draft of BTB already, I won’t be writing all through November as I’d planned. Instead, I get to cheer on my WriMoing friends and still hang out on the forums. 🙂

It’s crazy mode around my house with pre-PR prep, editing, consuming coffee at a scary rate and brainstorming for Canterwood Crest #4. I adore the title, TRIPLE FAULT, and can’t wait to get started on it!

PS–I still haven’t gotten around to finishing the blog roll. I didn’t delete everyone–promise! I’ll get that up this weekend.

PPS–In case I don’t blog tomorrow, definitely check back on Friday for an interview and giveaway with author PJ Hoover!

How people find me online

I’ve been reading how people have been finding me online and just thought I’d share some. They’re a mix of odd and funny.

So, we’ve got these via SiteMeter:

Top 10 literary cities (I don’t live in one)
Sarah Joy Brown on Facebook (I did blog about that…)
Sneak peaks at the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic (note the “a”)
The Jessica Website (I’m thinking they’re looking for Alba, Biel or Simpson)
Weinheimer dog pics (Huh???)
Obsessed with Twilight (Oh, so true)
Greenbrier, TN (my old home city)
Girly books releasing in July 2008 (What’s a girly book?)
Red Hills Horse Trials 2009 (I’m so there!)

If you have a StatCounter or SiteMeter, how do people find you besides your name or book title?

Painting!

Pretty paint colors!
I heart Crimson Silk
What a soothing name

First, I had to draw a new winner for FRENEMIES! Marjolein, you win! Please e-mail me with your address to ship your prize. 🙂

So, we’re painting this week! We started over the weekend, so I’ve been sleeping in the living room for a few days because my room was first and it smells paint-y. My room was a kind of starchy white and now it’s a creamy, pretty French Vanilla color called “Innocence.” Pics are coming!

The bathroom…oh, yes. It was a muddy/brownish/? color and now wait till you see. So. Lovely.

I was in awe of the many, many color choices. How much fun would it be to say, “Ah, yes my walls are “crimson silk” and my hallway is “violet bouquet.” Mine aren’t, but you get the idea. My bathroom, however, is now “Honeydew.”

Thanks to everyone who wished my hand a speedy recovery! I’m not whining (so much) as I type today. 😉 I’m trying to get a lot of work done early since I’ve got my hands on THE HOST and HOME (Julie Andrews’ memoir) and I can’t wait to get reading.

Go Carrie Jones!

This week is going to be busy! I’ve got lots of editing to do and I’m working away.

I reallllly wanted to do ScriptFrenzy (it starts April 1), but I just do not have time this year. I’ll have to make my own ScriptFrenzy month later. Is anyone participating? Lots of people on the blue boards are excited. 🙂

Tomorrow, a new video will be posted, so check back for that. And no, it’s not a video clue for the super-secret surprise. But it’s coming. Soon.

Yesterday, I played with Blog Talk Radio (it’s really supposed to be used as a radio call-in show, but I use it for podcasting) and made my first entry. I talked over my introductory beginning (oops!) and in the intro that I taped weeks ago, I said the podcasts would start later in the summer than what I said in the live bit that I taped yesterday. So, please excuse my mistakes and I’ll be sure to make the next one better! 🙂

On Friday, Class of 2k8 member and fellow Floridian Debbie Reed Fischer will be here.

Today’s my mom’s birthday. Happy birthday, Mom! I love you!

Finally, GO CARRIE JONES! Carrie’s making a run for office—how inspiring and cool is that? Find out all about it: http://www.voteforcarriejones.com. You go, Carrie! 🙂
