Hello, Rival Revenge!

After a quick morning stalking of the bookstores, it looks like RIVAL REVENGE (Canterwood Crest #7) is indeed out in many stores. It has a technical release date of 1/26, so it’s always fun when bookstores release early. My local B&N says they have copies and I think that’ll mean a stock signing this weekend. I have the *nicest* people at my B&N and I love going there.

Book. Number. Seven. Wow. At this time last year, TAKE THE REINS (CC #1) was about to release and I was FREAKING OUT. The series was set at four books and I was doing promo for TTR and writing CHASING BLUE. Now, it’s hard to believe there are going to be 12 books. Thanks so much to the awesome reader girlies for backing the series and being on Team Canterwood! Also, hugs to the team at S&S–you guys rock.

And, of course, the books would be, well, superboring, unsparkly and just eh without Editor K, Kate Angelella. Angelella is spelled T-A-L-E-N-T-E-D, btw. Writer, editor, author-wrangler–she does it all. 🙂

Yay RIVAL REVENGE and I can’t wait to go book stalking.

Rival Revenge out in the wild :)

It’s soo cool that some of you have already found copies of RIVAL REVENGE. Yaay! I need to get to my local B&N and check to see if it’s there. Maybe I could sneak a vlog from inside the store…or end up getting thrown out. LOL. I could try.

Next week, I’ll put up a post for you guys to chat about RR if you want.

I’m working all weekend on CITY SECRETS, so happy weekend, girlies! 🙂

Rival Revenge contest winners!

I hope everyone had a fantastic New Years! I had a fab time ringing in 2010. I went into the city with friends and we partied till way after midnight. When we were in Manhattan, I saw this girl standing next to me and thought, “Huh. She looks really familiar.” But I didn’t know how I “knew” her. I looked again and realized it was Hilary Duff. Weird, huh?

Anyway…it’s time to…announce the winners of the RIVAL REVENGE contest! I’ll be emailing the winners for their addresses. Guys–you’ve got a week to email me back with your info, otherwise I’ll have to draw someone else’s name to claim your prize.

Congrats to:

Jill/TeamEric (with jobros email address)

Oliva (barkingpaw email address)

Anonymous (with jockeyalicia email address)

Yaaay!

Enter to win one of *three* copies of Rival Revenge!

I think it’s time for a post-holiday give away!

Guess what I’ve got?? Copies of RIVAL REVENGE due out January 26! (Three days before my birthday, which is kinda awesome.)

Sooo…I think it’s only fair that I give away THREE signed copies of RR. Leave a comment here or on LiveJournal. Tweet, Facebook, blog, vlog, whatever about the contest and let me know in the comments. It’ll give you *two* extra entries. The drawing will be random and I’ll only ship to US addresses. You cannot enter on Facebook, Twitter or anywhere else. Gotta comment here. 🙂 The contest closes on January 1st at midnight at Eastern time.

Enter away and good luck!!

PS: Notice the number on the book spine? All future books will be numbered and reprints of previous books will also have numbers. Cool, huh? I love it! 😀

PPS: Just so it’s clear: Alison’s on the spine and on the right front cover next to Julia. Jasmine’s on the back. 🙂

NOTE: Hey, guys, please don’t put LWL spoilers in this thread. Use the one below it that’s open for discussion about the book. And note to everyone–there are a couple of spoilers in the comments, so shield your eyes if you don’t want to see!

**I closed comments because the contest is over! Congrats to the winners!** 🙂

Rival Revenge is complete! Woo!

Oooh, yay! The final draft of RIVAL REVENGE is in Editor K’s hands. Yaaay! Book #7 is a wrap. Well, till copyedits anyway. But by then, I’ll be loong into HOME SWEET DRAMA.

Now, to tackle the to-do list that seemed to come out of nowhere and become quite long. It involves lots of vlogging. And video making. And Website updating. I like. 🙂

Uh, but first…I might watch the NEW MOON trailer. Just one more time. One. As a sparkly (haha–it’s true!) reward.

Deadline craziness

Blogging is going to be sporadic since I leave Friday morning for the Decatur Book Festival in Decatur, GA. It’s going to be so much fun! I will, however, be vlogging and Tweeting from the event. I speak at 2:30pm on the Children’s Stage. I’ll be talking about all things Canterwood and am trying to make the talk funny/informative.

I’m also turning in RIVAL REVENGE on Thursday, so I’m responding to zero e-mails at this point. I’m not ignoring any of you (readers), I promise! I will e-mail you back as soon as I can. If you snail mailed me, I’ll work on that soon too. Thank you so much for all of your notes! I do read and appreciate each one!

Back to editing…I don’t want Editor Kate to throw the manuscript at my head. Or shred it into tiny pieces in front of me. Or cross out every page with a red Sharpie. It could happen, you know… 😉
