READY FOR HEATED?!

crest

GUUUUUYS!

Guess what? I emailed my publisher and got the rights reverted back to me for HEATED and I JUST finished uploading it to Amazon!!!

Within 12 hours, it will be ready for YOU to download for $1.99!!

When it’s live, I will blog, Tweet and Instagram that it’s up, but you can search Amazon.com for HEATED by Jessica Burkhart anytime.

A few things:

* It will ONLY be in e-book format

* it spans the length of about 1/4 of a Canterwood Crest novel which is why it’s priced so low

* it will take 3 more installments of the same length to finish telling the story of HEATED–Sasha and frenemies at YENT camp in Florida

* You CANNOT buy it anywhere but Amazon.com

* You do NOT have to own a Kindle! To prep for HEATED, go here and download this free Kindle reader for your iPad, iPod, or computer. You can read the book that way.

* I AM SO EXCITED!!! I’ve been waiting since April to get those book out to you and I FINALLY got it back in my hands and I’m so, so happy. HEATED has been read by several members of the Elite Team and they loved it so I hope you do to!!

PS: It’s live now so get it HERE!

Camp NaNoWriMo Day 1!

Hiii, fellow campers!

Today’s the day! We kick off our camping adventure all thanks to NaNoWriMo. 🙂

I’ve never been camping in real life . . . sleeping outdoors doesn’t really, um, appeal to me, but THIS kind of camp is something that I can get behind.

HEATED draft sneak peek!

Hi, Harts!

Since you’ve all been SO awesome and patient while I’ve been recovering from surgery and dealing with the news of my little brother’s cancer diagnosis, I wanted to give you a little treat this Sunday. So, here’s an UNEDITED bit of HEATED! Remember, it’s just a draft and things could change. But I thought you’d like to see! 🙂 What do you think?

I lifted my forehead up from the tinted SUV window. White rails flashed by and horses dotted lush green pastures. Some were clustered together under palm trees that provided little sun protection. The SUV slowed and made a gentle right onto a pebble-lined driveway. Our driver, Ken, put down his window and reached to a code box. Balmy Florida air flooded inside the cool SUV. I grinned—it smelled like horses and the beach!

            “Omigod, we’re here!” I said.

Next to me, Heather Fox lifted a corner of her purple sleeping mask. “Silver, you screamed that loud enough for the entire city of Ocala to hear.”

Jasmine King, Canterwood Crest Academy’s new-ish transfer from Wellington Prep, had white Beats over her ears and she didn’t even look at Heather or me from her seat in the row behind us.

Smoothie & HEATED

Just made an awesome smoothie for dinner!

It has:

coconut milk
OJ
frozen peaches
frozen strawberries
2 bananas
shredded coconut
vanilla yogurt

As far as dates you can expected HEATED . . . I don’t have an answer yet. Mainly because I realized that I had to reread BE and LWL to really understand what mindset Sasha is in at camp. It’s also the first time I’m writing in her POV since I wrote HOME FOR CHRISTMAS. I want to do her justice and create the best story possible!

As soon as I know, I’ll tell you! Promise! 🙂
