The lovely Christine at the Bridgewater Public Library posted a very kind review of WILD HEARTS on the library’s Facebook page. I’m reposting it below. Thank you so, so much, Christine! ❤

Looking for a book for teens who love horses?

Check out Jessica Burkhart’s Wild Hearts, coming to stores in May! Brie Carter doesn’t think she fits in anywhere. Homeschooled and constantly moving due to her dad’s job, she also works for him at his land developing business. Her mother wishes she would get involved in something, like photography. Arriving in Lost Spring, Wyoming, her family is met with protests over the development, which would disrupt the local wild mustang population. Among the protesters is Logan, whose love of the horses is so strong, he’s willing to do anything to save them. Brie begins to hang out with Logan and see his side of things…too bad her father doesn’t feel the same way. Nor does he know that she is hanging out with the enemy and his father, who is leading the protests. Together with new friend Amy, Logan and Brie work together to save the mustangs.

This book is a good young adult choice for those who are interested in horses and looking for a romance book. That being said, this book is mostly parent friendly- Brie does sneak out of the house and go camping with Logan, but there is no sex or drugs. The story revolves around Brie’s growing friendship with Logan and Amy, and the attempt to save the mustangs of Lost Spring. You can tell the author did her research on wild mustangs before writing this book. Good pick for those looking to get into teen books without the teen drama.

WILD HEARTS is available NOW for pre-order in paperback and hardcover! 🙂 It releases May 5, 2015.

*TWO NEW KY dates (Joseph-Beth Lexington & Crestview Hills signings)

Happy, Saturday, people! 🙂

I have TWO new awesome days for you to meet me in Kentucky! That gives you a total of FIVE chances to meet me in Kentucky. Yes, I am hijacking your state, residents. 😉

I couldn’t be happier to have my first EVER signings at Joseph-Beth locations! The staff at both Crestview Hills and Lexington have always been supportive of me and of Canterwood. I can’t wait to thank those people in person. I mean, they even created those supercool calendar dates and the widgets.

The Joseph-Beth events will be FREE and you can win a veeeeery awesome prize for coming and doing something!

So, I mentioned a prize, right? 🙂

If you: purchase a Canterwood Crest book the during either one of the events from Joseph-Beth and show it to me, you will get a 20 MINUTE FACETIME or SKYPE chat with me! Buy another book? TWENTY MORE MINUTES!

Buying a book on Saturday or Tuesday is the best way to thank Joseph-Beth for hosting me and it benefits the Canterwood Crest series. How? It keeps it on shelves so that new readers can discover it.

Plus, having tons of sales will help us get noticed by Hollywood! Let’s get Canterwood there!

I’m soooo excited about the possibility of some one on one time with members of Team Canterwood!

Who’s coming?! Please don’t let me speak to one person who came by mistake and has no clue what the heck Canterwood is and how annoyed he is that I talk about lip gloss, horses, boys, and writing!

If you RSVP by leaving a comment on this post OR

Any questions? Ask away! 🙂 I hope to see you at one of these events. We’ll have to come up with a cool name for our group of Kentucky CC fans. Brainstorm, everyone! Discuss in the comments if you like.
